Marine chain, scaled down for the neck: oval links with a bar across the centre, each one 2.5mm wide. Diamond-cut facets are machined into the surface of every link, so the gold breaks the light as the chain moves. It is offered in solid 9ct and solid 18ct yellow gold.
At 2.5mm this has genuine substance — enough to read as jewellery bare, and enough spine to carry a heavier pendant. Four lengths are made: 40cm (16″) at the base of the neck, 45cm (18″) just under the collarbone, 50cm (20″) on the chest and 60cm (24″) mid-chest, clearing most necklines. The bar through the middle of each link is what separates anchor from a plain cable.
Made in Italy in solid gold, in whichever karat is chosen. There is no plating on it to thin out, which is why a chain built like this can be worn for years without changing colour.
