Tightly fitted plates make a snake chain: each plate locks into the next to form a smooth, round tube with no visible gap anywhere along it. This one is sterling silver 925, 1.9mm across, flexible in the hand and unbroken to the eye.
At that width it works as a daily chain and will hold a small or mid-weight pendant, which slides along the polished surface rather than catching on a link. Four lengths are offered: 40cm at the base of the neck, 45cm just below the collarbone, 50cm on the chest, 55cm mid-chest. Snake sits closer to the body than a linked chain, which makes it a good base layer under something chunkier.
