Silver Curb Chain 2.8mm Rhodium Plated

Flat, interlocking links define a curb chain: each is twisted and then pressed flat, so the whole run lies flush rather than standing proud. This version is sterling silver 925 at 2.8mm wide, finished in rhodium — a hard white plating with a cooler, brighter tone than bare silver.

At 2.8mm there is enough body to wear it on its own and enough strength for a pendant with weight behind it. The three lengths cover most needs: 50cm on the chest, 55cm mid-chest, and 60cm dropping low enough to sit over a jumper or inside an open collar. The flat profile also layers well, since it will not bunch against a second chain.

Rhodium is among the hardest finishes used on jewellery, so the white stays bright far longer than polished silver does; the one thing to keep away from it is abrasive cleaners and pastes.
