Paperclip links, long flat rectangles of 3.5mm by 11mm, sit end to end with even spacing between them. Those broad flat faces are what give the chain its flash, turning as the wearer moves and throwing light back in a band rather than a point. The body is sterling silver 925, rhodium plated and then finished in 18ct rose gold.
With links 3.5mm wide this is a substantial chain that needs no pendant, although the open rectangles make one easy to thread. Both drops are long: 60cm lands at mid-chest, and 76cm hangs lower again, low enough to wear over a shirt or to loop twice without crowding the neck.
The plating is 18ct rose gold over rhodium on a sterling silver 925 base, made in Italy. Plated colour lasts longest when it is kept clear of perfume, chlorinated pools and the sea, so the chain goes on last and comes off first.
