At 0.7mm, this is about as fine as a solid gold cable chain gets. The small round links alternate direction along the run, and the finished strand reads more like a gold thread than a chain. It is 9ct gold right through, with no core of anything else.
Delicate is the point. Worn alone it gives a faint warm line at the neck, and it will hold a light charm or a small pendant, though anything heavier asks too much of it.
