What we collect
When you place an order we collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and order details. If you create an account, we store your login email and order history. If you join our mailing list, we store your email address (and name, if provided). We also collect anonymised site-usage data via Google Analytics.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered directly into Stripe’s secure systems and never touch or reside on our servers. We see only the payment outcome and the last four digits of your card.
How we use your information
We use your details to process and deliver orders, provide customer service, meet our legal obligations (including tax record-keeping), and — only if you have subscribed — send you our newsletter. Every marketing email contains a one-click unsubscribe link.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers needed to run the store: Stripe (payments), Australia Post (delivery), Google (analytics), Brevo (email delivery and our mailing list) and Hostinger (website hosting). We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Cookies
We use cookies required for the shopping cart and checkout to function, and analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can block non-essential cookies in your browser without affecting your ability to shop.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles you may request access to, or correction or deletion of, the personal information we hold about you. Email admin@silverchains.com.au and we will respond within 30 days.
